Off Road Accessories put to the test off-road
We have decided to put the Fullsizexj on a diet, first to go was the exo cage

Let's face it, Body panels are heavy and get in the way, so off they came.

Next is gonna be the floorboard, we are removing it from just behind the seats all the way back, the roof will get cut off appox 4" behind the front windshield edge and the rockers are coming off also. we will then be boatsiding it and doing a full tube chassis off of what is left over, it will be getting a fuel cell and rear mounted radiator also. Stay tuned for updates as we post them

We have decided to lose the rest of the roof and windshield completely
Here it is pretty much stripped of all the sheetmetal and ready for tube work to begin

Recent Progress on the project
After a trail run, I decided to lower it some more, we had already lowered it 4" from when it had a full body, now we are droppoing it 4" more. The rear has been done already and I am working on the front now

This is a basic mock up of what I will doing on the front, this was done with 1.75 but I will be going with 1.50" like I used in the rear. By doing this I can get a smaller bend and will not have to cut as big a hole in the hood since they will be coming through it. There will also be a down support going to the frame rail as well to support it

Well, we have gotten a little further on it now, we switched to 1.5" tube to get a smaller hoop and have it all mocked up, we just need to add the cross support under the hood and then final weld it all in.
We have finished building the cross support and started to do the final welding to mount the shock hoops, we ran out of argon so we will have to finish welding it up tomorrow
We now have it standing on it's own again
After a few long hauls in the old Towrig, we decided if we were gonna get serious about competing, we would need to get a better towrig, after looking around, We came across a 94 Ford F350 crewcab with a 7.3 turbo deisel and a manual transmission. Needs a little removal of trim items but should work great for our purpose
